- First intuition is right 30% of the time. Second is accurate 80% of the time. Third is right 10% of the time. Fine tune what your %s are.
- First blame the context, second ...anything else, third the people.
- Ask for simple explanations. When you sense hesitation, pull on it.
- If you feel burnt out, ask yourself "Why?". Try to pinpoint the thing causing you to burn out, and rid yourself of it. Or, take a break from it.
- Explain issues by a) telling people what you need or expect, b) explaining how that's different than current state, and c) stating why that sucks.
- Explain ideas by a) covering the current state and why it sucks, b) explaining an idea, and c) stating how that will fix the problem.
